Toshiba Aquilion Prime

160-slice CT scanner

One of only a few 160-slice CT scanners in Islamabad.

A CT scan takes a rapid series of X-ray images and reconstructs them into slices. It is the fastest way to look inside someone who is acutely unwell, and the standard study for the chest, the abdomen and complex fractures. The high-resolution chest protocols for the respiratory service run on this machine.
