About this test
CBCT gives a 3-D reconstruction of the jaw at a fraction of the dose of a medical CT. It is what implant placement is planned on, because it shows exactly where the bone and the nerve canal lie, and it resolves root canal anatomy that plain films cannot.
What it measures
- Bone height, width and density at the implant site
- Inferior alveolar nerve canal position
- Root canal anatomy and impacted teeth
