About this test
Tuberculin is injected into the skin of the forearm and the raised area measured two to three days later. Prior BCG vaccination can produce a positive, which limits its specificity here — where that is a concern, an interferon-gamma blood test is the better choice.

- Induration diameter in millimetres at 48–72 hours
