About this test
CA 15-3 is not sensitive enough to find early breast cancer and is not a screening test — mammography is. Where it earns its place is in tracking known advanced disease, where a rising trend can signal progression before symptoms do.
What it measures
- Serum CA 15-3
A note on results. A single test is one part of a clinical picture, not a diagnosis. Discuss your report with a qualified doctor, who will read it alongside your history and examination.
