About this test

Anti-histone antibodies are found in the great majority of drug-induced lupus and much less often in idiopathic lupus. The distinction matters because drug-induced disease usually resolves once the responsible medicine is stopped.

What it measures

  • Anti-histone antibody

A note on results. A single test is one part of a clinical picture, not a diagnosis. Discuss your report with a qualified doctor, who will read it alongside your history and examination.
